Cacao route

The first stop is at the landmark of Fernão Dias. The route then continues up to the old plantation house, Roça de Santo Agostinho, where you can visit the Botanical Gardens and see the process of drying cacao, used to make cocoa. It continues on to the Roça da Boa, where you can appreciate the colonial type architecture.

Then time for a rest, a fresh drink and something to eat. This tour ends at Roça de Monte Forte – one of the last of São Tomé that is still farming. This is the moment to enjoy a traditional lunch between the sea and the mountain.
